As the chapter President, I would like to welcome you to Gamma Phi Beta at USD! Thank you for visiting our website. I hope you can take a look around to see a glance of all the activities in which our sorority is involved. Love, labor, learning, and loyalty are listed to the left to explain each of our four core values. Our motto, ‘work hard and play hard’, shows our dedication to growth academically and socially, and is evident through our pictures and large amounts of our sisters. These photos hardly do justice to all the things we do as a chapter for our university and our community, yet they will give you a good idea of all the dedication of our sisters and all that we do. After all, we are the largest sorority on campus!

It is a pleasure to welcome you to our website.  For those of you who are wondering what Gamma Phi is all about, you can see what this chapter is doing and how we are living our life being true to our four core values, Love, Labor, Learning and Loyalty, just by exploring some of our involvements and activities.  But this is only the beginning, joining and participating in this sorority is a lifetime experience.  We are here to help you get a job, find your personal best, settle in a new state or town and encourage you every step of the way throughout your career and life.

As chapter advisor, I have the best job of all.  I have 145 sisters and most importantly, friends.  Although I am a bit older, we all help each other out whenever the need arises.  Not too long ago, I got stuck near the airport when my car died and apparently was overheating.  One text message later, I was being driven home by one of my USD sisters.  When my grandmother died, my 2 pledge sisters were there for me to help me make some very difficult decisions and when my marriage broke up, my USD sisters brought over Chinese food, sat in the Jacuzzi with me and helped me get over my loss, or at least start me on the road to recovery.  This chapter will always been a special to me. I have been blessed by becoming a part of an amazing international organization that just continues to give to me.  I love my chance to mentor, but the best part is really our shared friendships here and wherever I go.

I am one of thirteen advisors who help our officers and members enhance their strengths and to support them as we work on our opportunities for growth, both as a chapter and as individuals.

Gamma Phi Beta is one of the original seven founders of the National Panhellenic Conference, the governing body for all sororities, and we have been leaders ever since. In 2009, we celebrated 25 years on this campus and over 135 years as a Sorority.  We welcome you to get to know us.  You will always get out of any experience what you put into it.  Enjoy your time here at USD and remember the time will go so quickly, but the experiences, memories and friendships will last a lifetime.
